Tonya embarked on her journey in the world of design within the fashion industry, where her creativity blossomed as a jewelry designer. Her creations graced the pages of renowned publications such as InStyle, Fitness, Self, People StyleWatch, Seventeen, and Real Simple. Notably, she earned recognition as a runner-up for Emerging Designer of the Year at Neiman Marcus and achieved finalist status in Oprah’s cherished list of favorite things.
Tonya’s evolution from jewelry designer to interior decorator felt like a natural progression after over a decade in the fashion world. For five years, she served as the Creative Director and Lead Designer at a local award-winning design firm, honing her skills and refining her vision. This invaluable experience laid the foundation for her pursuit of her dream of establishing her own boutique firm.
Tonya Maggio Interiors specializes in curating elevated spaces that stand the test of time. Her designs are a reflection of her diverse life experiences, from her coastal childhood in Florida to living in cities like Singapore, Chicago, and Atlanta. Currently, she resides in the Annapolis area, where she shares her life with her husband, two sons and her girl companion in the house; her Australian Shepherd.
Amber Streit
Lead Stylist
Growing up on the West Coast, Amber developed an early appreciation for natural beauty and effortless style. Her passion for design led her to a successful career in fashion, where she sharpened her eye for detail and developed a deep understanding of aesthetics.
After moving to the Washington, D.C. area, she transitioned into the world of home staging, working for a prominent company where she perfected the art of creating inviting and visually striking spaces. She then joined an award-winning boutique design firm, where she further honed her design sensibilities and creative approach.
Now, as the Lead Stylist at TMI, Amber draws on her diverse experiences to bring a unique perspective to every project. She lives in the Annapolis area with her husband, two children, and their two beloved pets.
Amber's rich background and passion for design make her an essential part of the team, ensuring every project is both beautiful and meaningful.
Katie Hebbel
Project Lead
Katie's journey with our team is truly unique—she began as a client and has since become an important member of our design family. With prior experience working alongside another local designer, Katie already had an appreciation for the art of interior design. After experiencing our approach firsthand, she couldn’t wait to join our team.
As our Project Lead, Katie plays a critical role in our team's success. Her ability to see the design process from both the client’s and the designer’s perspective allows her to bridge the gap between vision and execution seamlessly. Katie’s exceptional communication skills, coupled with her knack for organization, ensure that every project is handled with the utmost care and precision.
Katie resides in Severna Park with her husband, two children, and their two golden retrievers. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, boating, and staying active.
